Shuttles are available between Las Vegas Airport to M Resort every hour but you will need to book this ahead of your arrival.

5 Tips for Networking at RESACON 2024
If you're anything like me and get easily overwhelmed in large crowds, spend quality time with old friends and aim to get to know at least one new person each day well enough to call them a new friend by the end of the convention. Here are my top tips for making the most of networking:
1. Be Approachable
Wear what makes you comfortable, but put some effort into your appearance so you are not self-conscious, that can kill the vibe. Smile, make eye contact, and be open to conversations. Chances are, others feel just as nervous as you do. So relax—you’re in good company!
2. Have Your Elevator Pitch Ready
Be prepared to introduce yourself and your home staging business in a concise, engaging way. Share something about yourself that will be memorable or just listen and get to know the other party.
3. Follow-up
Bring plenty of business cards (my kids roll their eyes at the mention of business cards) Pro tip: Have your Instagram QR code ready for quick and easy connections, you will also need these if you plan to hit the Las Vegas Market and you totally should! Following up with new contacts is crucial for building lasting connections.
4. Join the Conversations Online
Use hashtags #RESACON, #RESACON2024, and #RESA to join the social conversation and connect virtually. Download the Whova app to plan the events that interest you, connect, share information, form groups, arrange meetups, and more!
5. Focus on Quality Over Quantity
Quick hellos are great, but focusing on one person at a time makes networking so much easier and helps build new relationships. Rather than trying to meet everyone, forge deeper connections to build meaningful relationships for future collaborations and opportunities in the home staging industry.
LAS VEGAS MARKET
Connect with your tribe at RESACON, Then go find your vibe at the Las Vegas Market.
Extend your stay and explore the Las Vegas Market (LVM) at the World Trade Center. You will need to register
This premier design event happens three times a year—in winter, spring, and summer—and is a must-visit for home stagers, designers, and furniture retailers. RESACON is strategically planned by the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA®) to coincide with the Summer market, You’ll meet furniture and home goods vendors, wholesalers, and designers at LVM and see the latest design trends in furniture and home decor. Though I won’t be attending this year due to a family commitment, I’ve been a regular since 2018.
You can sweeten the deal by signing up for a guided tour of the market and get warm introduction sales reps who will become your sourcing partners for wholesale savings. RESACON offers a tour for members registered for RESACON and it is always a hit! You can also sign up for Wholesale Buying Class with the amazing Michelle Minch. I have personally taken this class, not once but twice! It is that good and goes beyond just how to buy furniture. Michelle is not only a wealth of knowledge about all things home staging but is also very generous with information. Michelle is a veteran and a pioneer in the industry and you will get the opportunity to pick her brain. After the class, you will be able to join the private Facebook group about all things furniture sourcing. Tell her I sent you. :)
Final Thoughts
The real magic happens when you turn those contact exchanges into meaningful relationships. Follow up with your new connections after the event—it’s the secret sauce to growing your network. RESACON 2024 and the Las Vegas Market promise to be unforgettable, packed with inspiration, and endless opportunities. Seize every moment!
My biggest pro tip is: go to RESACON with your ONE THING in mind. Focus intensely on one goal, learn everything you can about it, and then go out and crush it! Listen to this podcast where I shared my ONE THING from RESACON last year by being intentional.
